What Factors Influence Double Glazing U-Values?

Several factors impact the double glazing U-value, including:

• The type of glass used (e.g., low-emissivity coatings)
• The gas filling between panes (e.g., Argon or Krypton)
• The width of the glazing cavity
• The type of spacer bar (warm-edge spacer bar technology) while warm-edge spacer bars have very little effect on the Centre Pane U-Value, when compared with conventional Aluminium/Steel spacer bars, it reduces the heat loss through the window as a whole which in turn reduces the Whole Window U-value.
