Krypton gas is used in high performance glazing. Krypton performs best in narrow cavities – 8mm – 12mm, and can help achieve lower U-values than Argon in these specific types of glazing. Krypton is very expensive and it is uneconomical to use Krypton on the production line due to high gas waste. This special offline equipment is a low speed machine that minimises waste and achieves the high gas concentrations required.
